2023 Wrapped: Camp Susan Curtis Edition
With the year coming to a close, we wanted to highlight some of the incredible things our campers and staff accomplished this year. 2023 was a year of play, growth, rain, and, most importantly, FUN, and we are so excited to launch into our 50th summer next year!
Camp By The Numbers:
389 campers served from 14 Maine counties
53 campers advanced one swim level, and 24 campers advanced two levels
On average, each camper spent over 90 hours immersed in the outdoors, with 275 campers attending overnight hiking trips
50 Leadership Development campers participated in college campus tours, and 83 campers participated in scholarship discussions to learn about affordable paths to higher education
1 INCREDIBLE camp community!
Thank you for a fantastic 2023, and see you all next year to celebrate 50 YEARS of Camp Susan Curtis!
“Something I learned from camp this year is one, to be more mature so I can be the best role model possible for younger campers. Another thing I learned was to use my voice more and to be less shy, this will help me in the future by being able to speak up not only for myself but for my friends and people who need someone to speak up for them.”
